Galatea & Torrhus Canyon Progression

Galatea is the primary foraging zone introduced in the Foraging Update, accessible via Minecraft 1.21.5+ client. It features three primary zones—Moonglade Marsh, Murkwater Loch, and Torrhus Canyon—with tree Toughness demands scaling from 10 to 150.

Fig Trees

Starting point on Galatea (upper Moonglade Marsh).

Style: Trunk → Branches
Toughness: Trunk 10, Branches 5
Drops: Fig Logs & Tree Gifts

Goal: ~20 Sweep to clear comfortably. Fig IX collection (150k logs) unlocks +1 Foraging Level Cap.

Mangrove Trees

Located in the Murkwater Loch zone.

Style: Branches → Trunk → Roots
Toughness: Branches 25, Trunk/Roots 50
Drops: Mangrove Logs & Tree Gifts

Goal: 50 Sweep entry requirement. Mangrove IX (150k logs) unlocks +1 Foraging Level Cap.

Helix Trees

Endgame trees located in Torrhus Canyon.

Style: Beige Logs → Red Logs
Toughness: 150
Drops: Helix Logs & Helix Tree Gifts

Goal: High Sweep requirement. Helix IX (250k logs) unlocks +1 Foraging Level Cap.

[!WARNING] Cutting parts out of order on Galatea applies a massive 50% Sweep penalty on your hits. Refer to the Tree Styles guide for exact chop order rules.

[!IMPORTANT] Galatea Log Yield Cap: As of the 2026-08-24 Sweep rework, Sweep log yields on Galatea trees cap at 20 extra logs (21 total per chop). Sweep stats past this cap do not yield additional logs on Galatea. Use the Sweep Calculator to check your breakpoints.

The Economy & Dual Whispers Loop

The progression cycle revolves around felling trees, gathering dual Whispers, and raising your level cap to 57:

Tree Gifts: Awarded when a tree is completely felled (participating players who deal $\ge 33%$ tree damage earn full rewards).
Dual Whisper Currency:
- Forest Whispers: Earned from Fig and Mangrove Tree Gifts (used for HOTF Tiers 1–3).
- Desert Whispers: Earned from Helix Tree Gifts in Torrhus Canyon (used for HOTF Tiers 4–8).
Heart of the Forest (HOTF Tier 8): Spend Whispers into HOTF perk levels to increase your Sweep, Fortune, Timber, and Whisper yields.
Level Cap Unlocks (Level 50 → 57):
- Unlock Log IX Collections (Fig 150k, Mangrove 150k, Helix 250k) for +3 Level Caps.
- Complete Agatha's & Miria's Starlyn Contests (Milestones 4 & 5) for +4 Level Caps.
