Torrhus Canyon & Critter Safari

SkyBlock 0.27 added two major islands—Torrhus Canyon (the second Galatea foraging island) and the Critter Safari (the game's dedicated Hunting island).

All details below reflect the official 0.27 patch notes and subsequent August 2026 balance patches.

Getting There

Access Torrhus Canyon via the launch pad in Moonglade Marsh (requires Heart of the Forest Tier 4).

Find Helia along Torrhus Path to unlock the Torrhus Chapters (63 tasks across 7 chapters). Further along Spring Path, Miria hosts Starlyn contests and distributes Safari Tickets for entry into the Critter Safari.

Whispers Are Two Currencies

Perks on Heart of the Forest are split into two non-interchangeable currencies:

[!IMPORTANT] Forest and Desert Whispers are non-interchangeable. Purchasing perks on Tiers 4–8 requires harvesting Helix Trees in Torrhus Canyon. Track your balances using the Heart of the Forest Planner.

Helix Trees

Helix Trees demand Toughness 150 (3x higher than Mangrove's 50). Felling order requires clearing Beige logs first, then Red logs.

[!NOTE] The Sweep Calculator extrapolates log yields past Toughness 50 and displays a warning banner for Helix Trees. Note that Galatea log yields cap at 20 extra logs (21 total per chop).

Three New Collections

• Helix Log: Unlocks Helix Chopper at tier VI (25,000), Helix Armor at tier VIII (100,000), and +1 Foraging Level Cap at tier IX (250,000).
• Ruby Veilshroom: Harvested from caves in Torrhus Springs and dropped by Torrhus Sea Creatures. Base yield is 4–8 logs per node.
• Honeycomb: Harvested from Honeyhives scattered across the canyon.

Equipment Belts: Torrhus vs Safari Belt

• Torrhus Belt (EPIC, +10 Fortune, +2 Sweep): Grants +10% Starlyn Contest points, helping you place higher in contests to earn extra Safari Tickets.
• Safari Belt: Scales up to +55 Foraging Fortune, +30 Hunting Fortune, +5 Hunting Wisdom, and +10 Cold Resistance via Critter Safari milestones.

Critter Safari & Hunting

Spend a Safari Ticket from Miria to enter the Safari (solo or in parties of up to 4). Use Critter Capsules across four biomes (Icy, Canyon, Forest, Haunted) to catch critters and earn Attribute Shards.

• Charm Chance: Scales 0% → 100%, increasing attribute shard drop rates.
• Sparkling Critters: 1 in 4,096 spawn chance. Awards 10x rewards and a Rainbow Feather (raises any pet's level by +1).

0.27.0.24 Balance Updates Summary

• Timber Stat (2026-08-24): Each point is a 1% chance to fell the entire tree on your first cut. Sourced from Petalfall enchant (+0.2–1), Timber HOTF perk (+0.1–1), and the Woodpecker Shard (Helix Timber attribute).
• Galatea Sweep Cap (2026-08-24): Galatea log yields cap at 20 extra logs (21 total per chop).
• Enchant Upgrades:
  • Karma VI: Requires applying a Forest's Favor (0.02% drop from Helix Tree Gifts) to a Karma V axe.
  • Forest Pledge VI: Requires applying a Water Hyacinth to a Forest Pledge V armor piece (+12 Fortune per piece).
• Reforges: Marshy reforge stone (Vinesap VIII) provides up to +4.5 Foraging Fortune per equipment piece.
• Two-for-One HOTF Perk: Buffed 0.1–10% → 0.25–25% (2.5x increase).
• Frog Pet: Lost flat Foraging Fortune; Fortune is now situational (Hop & Happy Tree Friends). Retains +10 flat Sweep. Upgraded to Mythic via Kat's Frogspawn Bucket.

• Upgrades Recommender: Live Bazaar price engine that ranks cost per stat point for Foraging Fortune, Sweep, and Hunter Fortune across gear, gems, enchants, boosters, and attribute shards.
• Hunting & Attribute Shards Tab: View fused attribute shard levels, current vs max effect tooltips, and live Bazaar cost-to-max totals.
• Sweep Calculator: Test log yield outputs for Helix Trees (Toughness 150) and check Galatea log caps.
